Thanks for downloading our AACN CCRN Practice App. We’re excited to help you ace your CCRN exams. Here’s our teams advice on how to get the most out of our app:
1) Take topic based practice quizzes
This app is primarily designed to mimic the questions you’ll see on the AACN CCRN Adult exam. Our nursing team, which is made up of critical care nurses who recently passed the CCRN themselves, wrote over 2,500 custom practice questions. These questions are based on the official CCRN study materials and firsthand experience taking the exam. We believe this gives you the closest possible simulation to the real exam. We recommend you primarily use the app to take topic quizzes one by one until you have mastered the topic (consistently passing the quizzes).
2) Practice Exams
Once you’re consistently passing practice quizzes and have reviewed all the CCRN content (through this app or elsewhere), we recommend taking a full practice exam. These are timed & marked in the same way as the real thing, so you’ll get a full simulation of the real exam.
You can also check on your progress at any time in the review screen, which gives our estimate on how likely you are to pass your CCRN based on the amount of questions answered and the percent answered correctly relative to the passing grade.
Tips for CCRN Success:
– Read each question carefully—don’t skim!
– Look out for absolutes (e.g., always, never, only)—these are often incorrect.
– Avoid assumptions—stick to the information given in the question.
– Eliminate obviously incorrect answers to narrow down your options.
– Check for grammatical consistency between the stem and answer choices.
– Rephrase questions in your own words to clarify what’s being asked.
– Make an educated guess when in doubt—the CCRN does not penalize for incorrect answers.
